Please join us for our very own Newburyport Landing Holiday Open House this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, December 8th and 9th, from 1:00-3:00pm for light refreshments. We hope you come to enjoy these spirits, as we will also be giving away free holiday spirit too of course! As many of you already know, we are once again a drop-off location for the local Toys For Tots campaign, so you’re welcome to bring an unwrapped present for a child in need. We have already highlighted the coveted Newburyport Holiday Invitation Nights. As you are likely aware, the area always has more than one fun event in the works, so we would also like to highlight the local Holiday House Tour. This tour is meant to reveal a peak into some of Newburyport’s finest residences, as well as some other gorgeous locations on Saturday, December 8th, from 10:00am-4:00pm. The event will be celebrating its 25th anniversary, and will kick-off at the Custom House Maritime Museum. It will be a self-guided tour, meaning participants will be able to select their own pace at which they would like to go, and fortunately without having to keep up with a host-led group. You know what they say; you can’t rush perfection! This self-guided tour will take you through four centuries of Newburyport’s exciting history, as well as its unique cultural identity. Each residence will be heavily decorated, thus making a beautiful scene, but while allowing each property’s owner(s) to showcase their personal style and touch.
As we all know, New England can become a bit brisk this time of year. To combat any potential cold weather, complimentary coffee and chowder will be provided by both Starbucks and Starboard Galley to those participating in the tour. These tasty treats will be available to all between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm, and it will be located at the Custom House Maritime Museum. There will also be unique and hand-crafted one-of-a-kind wreaths at the Silent Wreath Auction. They will be displayed throughout the foyer/entrance of the museum’s first floor, and will then later be bid upon up until approximately 4:30pm that same day. From the real estate lovers waiting to take the historic stroll to shoppers sipping hot coco while chowing down some chowder – this 25th annual Holiday House Tour will have something for everyone.
