The Fall Event You Don’t Want to Miss
Newburyport hosts many events throughout the year, including some of our best-loved such as Yankee Homecoming and the Riverfront Music Festival. However, nothing beats Newburyport’s Fall Harvest Festival, nestled in Market Square, just a brief walk from Newburyport Landing.
Back again this year, Newburyport’s Fall Harvest Festival will be kicking off activities on October 7th and ending on the 8th. Beginning on Sunday the 7th at 10:00 am is the craft show as well as food vendors. Both of these event are open until 5:00 PM Sunday and Monday. Explore the downtown shops as well as all the artisans from all over New England as we celebrate the arrival of autumn.
The Kid’s Entertainment will commence at 10:30 AM for an hour during both days, giving children a chance to participate in the fun! Of course, you can’t forget about the Scarecrow Judging Contest, which is back for the 17th year and free to the public. Everyone can agree that the highlight of the Fall Harvest Festival is the entertaining, unique scarecrows decorating all the lamp posts downtown. The goal for this year’s contest is to create the most fun, inventive scarecrows to decorate the downtown!
