17th Annual Newburyport Riverfront Music Festival featuring the Barenaked Ladies!

Spend the day on the waterfront in Newburyport on Saturday, September 1st, and soak up the sun, the music, and great vibes. Come early and enjoy historic downtown Newburyport. Go shopping, enjoy the great food while waiting for the concert to begin. Food vendors will be located in Market Square and a Beer Tent will be set up at the venue. And yes, the Barenaked Ladies will be headlining! Get ready for some classic 90’s jams. The band is celebrating their 30th anniversary as a bank, and their music has been beloved by the Greater Boston community since their early days, making them an ideal headliner for the festival.

Getting There

The Newburyport Riverfront Music Festival is held at Waterfront Park in downtown Newburyport — a small coastal city in Essex County, MA, 35 miles northeast of Boston. The park overlooks Newburyport Harbor, where the Merrimack River meets the sea — a terrific venue to enjoy live music!

Grab some friends and join us for this annual celebration!
